Research Abilities
As part of our new research plans, Your Voice Counts joined our friends at the Lawnmowers Theatre Company to take part in their newly designed Research Abilities training session.
We'd like to say a big thank you to Sarah Wigham from Newcastle University for the funding and support!
Everyone loved the session, especially coming together to use creative ways to understand research as well as meeting new people and re-kindling some old friendships too! We will be working together with the Lawnmowers on future research projects, ensuring the voices of people with learning disabilities are truly heard within academic research and we can't wait so watch this space....
“It was interesting to see how Lawnmowers Theatre Company used creative approaches that can be used to explain and develop research.” Anthony, YVC Community Project Worker
“ I like how Lawnmowers are very creative and have big energy in their research and are passionate about getting important messages out around people who may struggle with anxiety and mental health to create awareness and understanding.” Melissa, YVC Peer Support Worker
