On this evening of poetry and spoken word we will hear the dynamic voices of people with learning disabilities and autism sharing their perspective on life in a way not often heard.
This is part of an exciting new creative writing project in Newcastle and Gateshead funded by the Big Lottery Awards for All.
Gateshead People self advocacy group and Twisting Ducks Theatre Company have teamed up together for this exciting project giving people with learning disabilities and autism in Gateshead and Newcastle the opportunity to explore their voices through the written and spoken word. With creative workshops and art mentors to help stimulate, encourage and guide us we plan to get out there and have our voices heard in lots of different ways and on different platforms.
